The pandemic experience has highlighted a problem in 3D printing design and manufacturing: the lack of a validation system agile enough to keep pace with the pace and characteristics of this technology. Therefore, the 3D4emergencywebsite, jointly set up by scientists, hospitals and companies, offers manufactured and validated models, designs and print files.

CSIC and UNED sign an agreement to provide joint training in additive manufacturing
The Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) and the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) have today signed an agreement to provide a modular training programme in additive manufacturing, a new industrial production process based on the printing of polymers and metals that promises to revolutionise logistics. The agreement was signed by the president of the CSIC, Rosa Menéndez, and the first vice-rector of the UNED, Rosa María Martín Aranda.
